Modacity Practice App

Music teachers say quality of practice is the defining factor in success – but almost nobody is practicing efficiently. Modacity changes that by combining spaced repetition, flow states, smart organization, and social dynamics to help musicians practice more effectively.

My History with Modacity

Before Modacity was released to the public in April 2018, Modacity Founder and Co-Creator Marc Gelfo announced a private beta for a new practice app that he was helping to produce. I responded to that call, as I was then preparing for my college auditions and looking for a way to get more out of my practice. I was skeptical at first. Like, how was this going to be any better than any old practice journal?

Let me tell you: it is quite different. With all of the tools and practice strategies built into Modacity, I owe no small amount of my success to Marc and the rest of the Modacity team, in my college auditions and beyond. With Modacity’s help, I was accepted to the world-renowned Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Oberlin, OH.

Since it’s official release, I have continued to help promote and develop Modacity as a Sponsored Artist, as I truly believe that everyone can benefit from integrating Modacity into their practice sessions. If you have any questions about Modacity or how to practice more effectively, don’t hesitate to ask! I have learned a lot in my short time, but Marc is also an avid teacher of performance psychology and neuroscience as it relates to music education.
